Brenda Grijalva

Brenda works at the intersection of education and visual art. As a graphic designer at WCA, she is responsible for branding, digital designs like social media campaigns, and asset design like illustrations. She brings her talent in iconography, love of color and texture, and steady reliability to every project that calls for it.

She works as an art educator and a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer. She has provided design and social media support for a family-owned design agency, developed marketing materials for experiential education programs, and designed book covers. Brenda completed her B.A. in Graphic Design at Oakland University with a minor in Studio Art plus a concentration in Photography. As a first-generation college graduate, she always sought to be the first in her family to have a creative career track.

In her free time, you’ll find Brenda searching for unique items at thrift shops in metro-Detroit, where she resides, letting her endorphins run wild at spin class or the soccer field, or slowing down to bake a gluten-free dessert.
