BOOKKEEPER
Drew DeMotta is a finance professional with a passion for helping businesses and Native communities build strong financial foundations. At WCA, he makes numbers make sense and ensures financial operations run smoothly as the bookkeeper.
With over a decade of experience in finance and operations, Drew has worked across industries ranging from tribal non-profits to hospitality, refining his expertise in financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, budget management, and organizational leadership. He has extensive experience managing accounting software, overseeing fiscal compliance, and implementing financial systems that improve efficiency and transparency.
Drew runs Hokulea Solutions, a consulting business named after the Hōkūleʻa, or guiding star, as he offers financial guidance tailored to businesses of all sizes. Drew also serves as the Finance and HR Manager at The Whitener Group, a Native-owned consulting group.
Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, Drew moved to Washington in 2018 and now calls it his home away from home. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in accounting, always looking for ways to grow and better serve his clients and community. When he’s not sifting through spreadsheets, he’s enjoying time with his husband and three dogs, exploring the Pacific Northwest, or crafting items inspired by his island heritage through his small business, Manalani Designs.
